Glanz aus der Camouflage-Dose | DAX High & Tight Awesome Shine Review | english subtitles
By Bryan Wright
Hello guys, welcome to a new pomade review, 2019’s first pomade review – I wish you guys a happy new year, thanks a lot for your great support. I know that we had one video with Philipp last week but honestly that has already been produced in 2018, so today we do our first “real” pomade review in 2019. Thanks a lot for your subscriptions, your likes and comments. We started to make these videos beside our regular work but they became more and more important. We really love doing that and it’s so nice to see that you also like them. So keep going. Subscribe to our channel, share the videos if you want to and leave a comment and a like, we are really happy about that. And before I forget: Greetings go out to Pascal, thank you for your patience. Also greetings to Mel who brought pomade into Pascal’s life – Thank you for that. I wasn’t sure about the pomade I should start with this year and there are still so many of your review wishes left. That’s why I did a voting on our Facebook page: Schmiere Mittel or DAX High & Tight Awesome Shine. And in fact with 51 % the DAX pomade won. So I will review this one for you now. It’s one of the two I call it “awesome pomades” by DAX which are the two pomades with camo design. The green one is the Awesome Shine – so it gives a strong shine. And there’s the Awesome Hold with a beige camo which gives a nice firm hold. That one is a pomade for Alex who reviews our heavy pomades. I take a look at the Awesome Shine which is light or medium? I can’t remember. It’s been a while since I have used it the last time. But I’m looking forward to it now because I only have good memories about it. On the inside it looks like this, also green. And about the scent … to me it’s hard to describe … I heard lots of different things – “it smells like moss”, “it smells like lavender”, “it smells like cinnamon” … To me it’s a bit of all. A bit spicy also a bit sweet … but not too much. Basically it’s a nice masculine, pleasant scent. Because of my hair being dry I will put some hair tonic on it. To get my hair damp so the pomade is easer to apply. A tiny bit of a light pomade I used yesterday is still in there but you can’t really call it a build up. Some splashes here and there … And then … we can start. As I said it’s a light or medium … Yes, I would say this is rather a light pomade. It feels in deed very soft in the first place. That makes it super easy to scoop out. And it has that classic pomade texture, it’s nicely greasy and sticky, but really light. That’s what I thought, that it is a light one, because it has to give that awesome shine and for that it normally has to be a light pomade. It goes into the hair like nothing. Luckily the green color disappears in the hair so you don’t have to worry about coloring or something. Of course I take my individual amount again. I smell the scent here now … which is mixed with the scent of Jeris hair Tonic, they fit together perfectly. But I think I can remember that the scent becomes weaker after some time. As always when I use a light pomade: It is very easy to comb through. And it’s also super easy to slick the hair because it gets some weight from the light pomade, from the oils it contains. Let’s see if I can style something nice … And I already can see a nice awesome shine. Yes, it really works very nice. This is in fact a pomade – note to myself – I should use more often again. I wrongfully neglected it at home for some time now. But that will change now. I actually really like it very much. The shine is awesome, the application – sure it’s a light pomade – is awesome. And I can style a nice hair style pretty quickly. I will get finished now I don’t want to bore you. It is never 100% perfect but at least it’s close. I show you the shine now … It’s pretty strong, like it has to be with a light pomade. A wonderful thing if you like the scent: The beige one, the Awesome Hold has the same scent. So if you need some more hold than the green one gives to you you could use the beige one and apply the green one for some extra shine. But if your hair is that easy to style like mine you could also use such a light pomade as a stand alone product. Like I said I’m really excited about the pomade and I will use it more often again. Let’s check the ingredients … It contains jojoba oil, castor oil and coconut oil. They are common oils in pomades and they groom the hair nicely. No chemical ingredients – like we are used to it from DAX. It’s a very nice classic light pomade so if you’re a fan of trying light or medium pomades add this one to your list, if you haven’t try it so far. Again thanks a lot for your support.
